We offer a special type of shoulder replacement that is helpful in addressing certain types of shoulder injuries, most commonly rotator cuff tears. In this type of surgery, the surgeon removes the rounded head of the upper arm bone and attaches a plastic socket. Although most people get a standard total shoulder replacement, there are certain injuries where a reserve total shoulder replacement can alleviate pain and provide more mobility.
